Costs and claims
Plenty of customers run CivilPro for quality only. Turn this off and project controls leaves the numbers entirely.

Fully loaded hourly cost: base salary plus superannuation and on-costs, over roughly 1,800 productive hours a year.

Lots, ITPs, Checklists, Hold Points, Test Requests, Conformance Reports. What every customer uses.
Per person, per week. Five activities kept separate so nothing counts twice.
Not weekly costs, and not added to the figure above. Shown as an expected annual amount, not a bill.

Daycosts, dockets, supplier invoices, Progress Claims. Optional, and kept apart from the quality numbers on purpose.
Applied only to the people who touch costs and claims, not the whole site team.
Revenue that turns up late, and revenue that never turns up at all. Neither is added to the time savings.

Indicative CivilPro subscription for 30 seats: annual plan, private Azure database and per-seat licensing at published tier rates. Seat rates fall as seat count rises, which is why putting everyone on it costs less per head than putting a few people on it.
Solid bars are hours your team is already being paid for. Hatched bars are probability-weighted exposure and estimated leakage, not figures you will see on an invoice.
Where every number comes from, and what this calculator deliberately does not count.
The "now" hours. Benchmarked against PlanGrid and FMI, Construction Disconnected – ANZ Industry Report (December 2018, n=80 ANZ), which puts Australian and New Zealand construction professionals at about 11.5 hours a week on non-optimal activity: 4.9 hunting information, 3.4 resolving conflict, 3.2 on rework. That is construction-wide, not civil-only. The defaults here sit well below it.
The "with CivilPro" hours. Each is a fixed percentage of the hours beside it, and each percentage is reasoned from a specific platform behaviour set out under "how CivilPro does it" on that row. They are estimates, not measurements: there is no published time-and-motion study of Australian civil QA work, with or without a system. Treat the direction as well founded and the precise figure as arguable, and adjust the left-hand column to your own reality.
Rework at 10.29% of contract value. Love, Edwards, Watson and Davis, Rework in Civil Infrastructure Projects, ASCE Journal of Construction Engineering and Management 136(3), 2010, across 115 Australian civil infrastructure projects. The 40% traceable-to-records share is the mid-point of the 40–50% band reported across PlanGrid/FMI, Dodge and HKA CRUX. Documentation does not prevent latent conditions, third-party design error or weather damage, and this calculator does not claim it does.
Turnover at 10.1%. ABS and Jobs and Skills Australia construction labour turnover.
Salary loading. Base salary ranges from SEEK, Glassdoor and Engineers Australia's Engineering Labour Market Overview (August 2024), loaded for superannuation and on-costs and divided by roughly 1,800 productive hours.
